Nice looking blog, Jeff. Similar to how Daily Kos looked before yesterday afternoon, but without the orange.
It has the appearance of a work in progress. If I may offer some suggestions...
1) I find the sea-green header/blue link color combo to be an odd pairing. If you were to desaturate the blue a bit, the colors would at least be more in the same "plane" in the color space. (I can show you an example if you like.)
2) Previously visited links don't seem to change color.
3) You do need to add a big splashy image, but then you already know that. :-)
